Acquire is a musical theatre organisation for adult learners. We run large-scale performances and training events for singers and musicians of all experience levels. Our most open and frequent entry points are our Skills Workshops and Sing-throughs. Skills Workshops run as blocks or single-day events throughout the year, covering vocal technique, acting through song, reading music, play read-throughs and ensemble singing. Our Sing-through events are open weekend events where 150 to 200 singers and musicians come together to perform full musical theatre scores with no audition required. We also run a Concert Choir (60 to 65 auditioned singers, rehearsing weekly on Monday evenings) and an Orchestra (50 to 60 players, two blocks per year, rehearsing on Wednesday evenings). Our programme strands offer tiered pricing to ensure accessibility.
